Todd
Jokl is currently living and practicing art in New Haven, CT. After receiving
his BA from Yale University with a degree in Archaeology, Mr. Jokl moved to
San Francisco where he spent 5 years working in Advertising as well as producing
his own work. It was in San Francisco where Mr. Jokl became acutely aware of
technology and its impact on our lives. In 2000, Todd returned to Connecticut
to work towards his MFA at the University of Connecticut where he graduated
in 2002 with a concentration in New Media and Photography.
After developing a better understanding of technology through his graduate studies,
Mr. Jokl has become interested in exploring how technology and human perception
are related. Mr. Jokl consistently uses Video, Installation and a multitude
of softwares to help illuminate these concerns.
Todd Jokl is a faculty member in the Visual and Performing Arts Department at
the University of New Haven
where he teaches Multimedia and Photography in the Fine Arts curriculum.
